We know people LOVE their pets and don't like to leave home without them that's why we've created this special 'pet friendly page" on our website which we are updating all the time as we learn about more pet friendly places and things-to-do. We are creating "pet friendly tours" and providing links to pet friendly articles.

Writers from CityDog Magazine  have published a dog-friendly tour of the Kitsap Peninsula.

Kitsap Live Steamers is a non-profit group of railroad enthusiasts that build and operate a scaled railroad track at the South Kitsap Regional Park. Rides are provided to park visitors on a donation basis and are handicap accessible. This facility has given the community and the Puget Sound area a unique educational and recreational opportunity that is not otherwise available nearby. Rides are offered from 10AM to 4PM on the 2nd and 4th Saturday's of each month through October, weather permitting. The train traverse about 4000 feet of ground level railroad track, one trestle and one bridge. Maintenance and unloading facilities are also available.

The Clear Creek Trail is a 7-mile system of trails surrounded by natural habitat near the Creek. Working collaboratively with community volunteers and partners, the trail protects upland forests, wetlands, salmon streams and near shore habitat. 
This scenic trail winds through Silverdale's urban areas along Clear Creek in the center of the Kitsap Peninsula. Salmon are visible during spawning season and the area is great for bird watching, walking the dog, riding a bike or just getting away from it all!
