Share your PRIDE in Kitsap!

Wanted: Individuals that enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people, and talking to visitors about all there is to see and do on the Kitsap Peninsula.

RESPONSIBILITIES vary, but can include the following depending on volunteer interest and skills:

  • Meet and greet visitors from around the world
  • Help visitors plan their Kitsap visit
  • Gather information and mail it in response to phone & internet requests
  • Prepare information packages
  • Answer phones
  • Contact members for brochures & stock our brochure racks
  • Assist with office projects
  • Assist with special events
  • General offce operations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Warm, friendly personality
  • An interest in working with people
  • 4 hours a week (flexible) to spend at one of our Visitor Centers. Normal shifts are 9AM-1PM, or 1PM-5PM, one day a week.
  • A knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, the Kitsap Peninsula

  • North Visitor Center (and Kitsap Peninsula Visitor & Convention Bureau office) - 32220 Rainier Avenue in Port Gamble, convenient for travelers coming and going from the Olympic Peninsula.
  • South Visitor Center - located in the Days Inn parking lot, just off the Sedgwick exit on Highway 16, near Port Orchard is convenient for those coming from across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
