Just around the corner from the mall is the new REI Kitsap Peninsula location. This gives local and visiting outdoor enthusiasts the convenient opportunity to shop for quality outdoor gear without the hustle & bustle of the metropolitan commute.
Silverdale also offers scenic trails, award winning breweries, and beachfront hotels with attractive views of Dyes Inlet, Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. It is a gateway to the Hood Canal which is home to many parks and waterfront attractions, and a mainstay for military service men and women from all around. The easy beach access offers opportunities for kayaking, scuba diving, boating, and much more. Kayak and other outdoor equipment rentals are available year-round. The local favorite is the scenic Clear Creek Trail, which winds through seven miles of urban Silverdale. There is also plenty of indoor activities, such as bowling, movies theaters, and indoor swimming facilities.

While you're there, don't miss the historic buildings in Old Town Silverdale, a friendly community perched on the waterfront. You'll discover plenty of quaint shops, galleries and casual cafes with panoramic waterfront views. It is the town's most charming area with vintage qualities and a friendly neighborhood flare. Old Town has panoramic views from Silverdale Waterfront Park, a boat launch and a seasonal farmers market.
The waterfront park has a gazebo, playground for kids, public boat ramp, moorage, picnic spots, restaurants and a beach walkway.Silverdale is centrally located on the Kitsap Peninsula. It is a short drive from the Bremerton or Bainbridge Island ferry, or you can arrive by car via the Narrows Bridge just off hwy 3.
