The 11U Tournament was won by the Defending Washington State Champion South Hill Knights from Puyallup in a thrilling 10-9 victory over the Maple Valley Tigers at Lions Field. The 10U tournament was dominated by the Issaquah Dragons, who were coached by Seattle Mariner Icon Jay Buhner.
Buhner spent much of his free time signing autographs for the kids and pulling pranks on the grounds keepers--like kinking there hose while they were watering the field.
The tournament also featured a home run derby at the Kitsap Fairgrounds and event center which raised $485 for the family of Devin Gibbons, who is seriously wounded a 19 year old soldier from South Kitsap. Our next event will be a Memorial Weekend 13U baseball tournament at Pendergast Regional Sports Complex and the Kyle Sizemore/MADD Memorial baseball and girls fastpitch fundraiser at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.
