EcoFest – Kingston’s Earth Day Ecology Festival!

TIME: 11 am – 4 pm
LOCATION: Stillwaters Environmental Center (26059 Barber Cut Off Road; Kingston)
DESCRIPTION: EcoFest is the most exciting way to celebrate Earth Day in Kitsap County! EcoFest is a community celebration, with a huge selection of exhibitors and displays to delight you with all kinds of enviro-education & eco-friendly products, from electric scooters to bamboo floors! There is great music, food, and entertainment all day. The Native Plant Nursery will be open for sales. Park at Gordon Elementary School or Bayside Church, where there is plenty of parking and a shuttle to EcoFest and other events in Kingston. Se habla Espanol. Spanish translators will be available.

EcoFest – Kingston’s Earth Day Ecology Festival!
The latest news is in about EcoFest, the most exciting way to celebrate Earth Day in North Kitsap! Join the entire North Kitsap community on Saturday, April 19, 11 am - 4 pm, at Stillwaters Environmental Center (26059 Barber Cut Off Road, Kingston).

Our entertainment selections have expanded to include Kel Schmitz, with his wonderful mix of folk, blues and more. Our schedule for entertainment (subject to change) is:
11:30 am Carpenter Creek Chorus (Indianola Choir)
12:30 pm Stillwaters’ Frog Chorus Drama Troupe & Earth Day Awards
1:15 pm Fiddle Tunes – with Hank & Nick Veenstra
2:15 pm Kel Schmitz
Other special presentations you won’t want to miss are the visit from Orion, the Great Horned Owl of West Sound Wildlife Shelter and Solar Power Options, presented by Power Trip Energy. Orion will be at EcoFest from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Power Trip Energy will be there all day, but they will do a special presentation at 1:45 pm.
The entire list of exhibitors is below, but we are very excited to have transportation solutions such as an electric car, electric scooter and electric bicycles that will be on hand for folks to try out.
The Native Plant Nursery will be open for sales of great native plants and friendly non-natives. Our selection has greatly expanded since last Fall! See a complete listing of plants available at our website at www.stillwatersenvironmentalcenter.org. All are reasonably priced from $5 - $25.
It will be a great day for the whole community, with plenty to do for all ages. Bring the kids, because children’s activities abound at EcoFest -- for “kids of all ages”. A new feature this year is the chance for kids to build “Habitat Huts”. These are special places in the woods for wildlife, designed by the human artists.
Please don’t bring your dog, because Stillwaters is a wildlife reserve. No Dogs or Pets, please! You can start your day at Gordon Elementary or Bayside Community Church on Barber Cut Off, where there is plenty of parking. Leave your car there and take a shuttle bus or van to EcoFest and the Farmers Market at the Marina.
Food will be available from J’aimes Les Crepes, Kingston Rotary, Sweets & Savories, CB’s Nuts, and lots of snacks, too.
Over 35 EcoFest resource booths & displays will cover topics pertinent to everyday "green" living for the environment. These are just a few:
