December 11 – 21, 2008: Once Upon a Mattress
POOR Princess Winnifred! First she has to swim the moat to get into the castle, and then her potential mother-in-law puts a lumpy old pea into her bed to test her royal character. Once Upon a Mattress, the beloved Broadway musical retelling of the fairytale The Princess and the Pea, is directed by Corey D. McDaniel and set to the adventurous music of Mary Rodgers.
February 6 – 22, 2009: Noises Off
Noises Off traces the madcap backstage and onstage antics of an inept acting troupe as they stumble their way from bumbling dress rehearsal to disastrous closing night. Everything that can go wrong does go wrong, as the actors try desperately to hang onto their lines, their sanity, and their clothes. Teresa Thuman directs this farce about a farce.
April 9 – 19, 2009: ‘Art’
The painting is white. All white… When Serge pays a fortune for a plain white canvas, is it because he understands the intrinsic value of art…or is he just plain gullible? Does friendship mean keeping quiet or telling the truth? Are your friends who they are, or are they who you think they are? Find out in ‘Art’, the Tony Award winning comedy masterpiece by the award winning author Yasmina Reza. ‘Art’ is directed by Kate Carruthers.
May 14 – 24, 2009: CATS
Prepare to be dazzled as BPA stages CATS, one of the longest running and most beloved Broadway musicals of all time.
