WHAT IS THE FABULOUS ROASTED CHESTNUTS CAROLING CONTEST?
All traditions must start with the first year. Our goal is to make this an annual event with
rotating fund-raising groups. This year we are focusing on US Marine Corps Toys for Tots
Foundation They have supported Port Gamble Country Christmas for years and we would
like to improve there donations by having this contest. Plus the teams that wins have
bragging right for a whole year as the best carolers in the county.

HOW DO I PARTICTE?
Recruit your friends to carol as a team, assign a team captain, fill out the registration form
and mail in the form and registration fee to: Olympic Property Group, 19245 10th Ave
NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370 Attn: Roasted Chestnuts. Registration fee before November
15th is $5, after this date the fee is $10. Make check payable to Olympic Property
Group. Once you registration fee is received and information packet will be mailed to
you with more details.

HOW CAN I HELP THE FUND-RAISER?
Simply ask your friend, family, co-workers and community to donate to you caroling
team. This year the fund-raiser is US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Collect
new toys and bring them to the sing area before you designated time to perform.

HOW DOES THE CAROLING CONTEST WORK?
1. Sign up and pay your registration fee.
2. Ask friend, family, business and co works to participate and donate.
3. Practice your carols. All teams are asked to sing a cappella.
4. On December 13th, bring your donations to the registration table in Port Gamble
before you designated time slot and sing your heart out. Times slot will be signed
after registration.
5. Awards will be given out on Sunday, December 14th, at the Port Gamble General
Store. Time of awards announcement and singing assignments will be in your
information packet.
‘Roasted Chestnuts’ AWARDS

WHAT ARE THE AWARDS?
There are four ways to win awards.
1. Most Donated – This award is given to the team who brings the most
donations to the fund raiser.
2. People’s Choice Award – Ballots are given to spectators to vote for
there favorite team.
3. Best Dressed – The weather out side is frightful. Dress warm and
dress colorful. Dress in a theme. Dress nice or dress naughty but
please be dressed. The most outrageous and creative will win. This
price will be awarded by caroling judges.
4. Best All Around Choir – Pride yourself in your vocal talents. This is
the category for you. This price will be awarded by caroling judges.
*****Note: Contest will be held outside in Port Gamble proper. Please
dress weather appropriate. There will be no electricity or heat.
