Peninsula Services Announces 2008-2009 Board Members
Peninsula Services is happy to announce their 2008-2009 Board Members as follows: Jennie Lund-Chairperson; Diane Graham-Vice Chairperson; Phyllis Merhaut-Secretary; Helene Norman-Treasurer; Peggy Howland; SukHwa Kahl; Yvonne Manahan; Penny Pinckney
Charlotte Porter; Perry Ann Porter-Brown; Cathryn Richardson-Johns and
Claudia Young.
The mission of Peninsula Services is to provide employment opportunities and work training to adults with disabilities. Peninsula Services exists for the purpose of providing social, vocational and life enriching experiences that allow persons the opportunity to grow, to achieve personal goals and to maximize their potential.
Some of Peninsula Services’ job sites are All Shred: document shredding service; The Gift Garden store; Kitsap E-Z Earth worm farm; the GeDunk espresso stand located at the USS Turner Joy; shelf stocking and janitorial at Commissaries; Servmart stores; and Grounds maintenance.
Peninsula Services is seeking persons willing to serve on the Board of Directors of this non-profit United Way agency. Volunteer to share your time, enthusiasm, talents and unique perspective. Help govern the day to day aspects of the agency and plan for the future. Promote high quality services and opportunities to persons with disabilities in our community. The Board of Directors meets every fourth Wednesday of the month and committees as needed.
