Bremerton Symphony Association Announces 2008-09 Season Concerts

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Bremerton Symphony Association Announces 2008-09 Season Concerts
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION: Gena Wales, Executive Director / (360) 373-1722
The Bremerton Symphony Association (BSA) has announced the concert schedule and details for the 2008-09 season. Titled "Hear Brilliance Here" by Music/Artistic Director Elizabeth Stoyanovich, the season includes a variety of concerts for a range of ages and musical preferences, including Classic, Chorale, Conductor's Choice and Family concerts; and this year, something new: Opera. The upcoming season features the BSA's first-ever partnership with Kitsap Opera to present a fully-staged production of Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" on November 21 and 23, 2008. According to Maestra Stoyanovich, "A collaboration with the Kitsap Opera and BSA means that you have the experience of the opera with the quality of the symphony—definitely an event not to miss!"Another can't-miss concert will feature cellist Joshua Roman, performing "Variations on a Rococo Theme" by Tchaikovsky with the Bremerton Symphony in March 2009. Mr. Roman became the Seattle Symphony's youngest-ever principal cellist at age 22 and his solo career is growing rapidly. Dubbed a "Classical Rock Star" by the press, Mr. Roman has earned a reputation for performing a wide repertoire with an absolute commitment to communicate on a deeply emotional level.
