Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) hosts
Bainbridge Dance Center’s 27th Annual Student Performance
June 24 – 28: Tuesday - Saturday @ 7:00 p.m. + Saturday @ 2:00 p.m. @ BPA
Bainbridge Dance Center (BDC) presents its 27th Annual Student Performance at Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) in June and once again offers six performances to accommodate all those wishing to attend. The production showcases more than 200 students ages 4-18 in pre-technique, ballet, modern, jazz, and tap, and features original choreographic works by eight BDC faculty members. Stravinsky’s The Firebird is performed by the advanced ballet repertory, and the production includes three graduating seniors, Hannah Crichton, Anna Houk and Lilly Orrey, all of whom have committed most of their young lives to the study of dance.
Bainbridge Dance Center has been in continuous operation since its opening season in 1981 and has blossomed into a program offering dancers a high level of technical training as well as a life-long love for the art of dance.
BDC’s 27th Annual Student Performance appears at BPA June 24 - 28, with shows Tuesday - Saturday at 7:00 p.m. plus Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets, $16 for adults, and $12 for students/seniors, are available for sale after June 4 and may be purchased by phone at 206.842.8569 or in person at BPA, 200 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island. BPA Box Office hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and one hour prior to each performance. The production has two intermissions and is suitable for all ages.
Bainbridge Performing Arts extends special thanks to its 2007 - 2008 Season Media Sponsor—Bainbridge Island Review. BPA is supported, in part, by the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council, the City of Bainbridge Island, One Call for All, and and by a two-year Organizational Support Program grant from the Washington State Arts Commission.
