Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce 2008 Golf Classic
July 24th, 2008 at Gold Mountain Golf Course!

Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce 1st Annual Music Festival
September 13, 2008
Where: Raab Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce is putting on its 1st Annual Music Festival. The official Title is “Poulsbo’s Americana Music Festival” and it is planned for Saturday, September 13, 2008 in conjunction with our City Centennial Opening of our own Centennial Park. The event will take place at Raab Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will have at least two great bands for your entertainment, food, fun for kids and wonderful weather.

The day will begin with the soft opening of our City of Poulsbo’s Centennial Park at 10:30 a.m. Music will be featured at the park and then work its way up the hill to Raab Park for a fun-filled day.

JAK’S CAFÉ & ESPRESSO’S 1ST ANNUAL CHILI COOKOFF
When: April 12, 2008 at 1pm

There will be three (3) categories to enter your chili in; HOT, MEDIUM or MILD according to the ‘heat factor’ of your chili, but all chili entries will be judged on flavor and texture. Each category will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and one entry will win the ‘over all’ 1st place prize of $100.00 (cash & prizes)Chili must be pre-cooked and submitted in a crock pot no later than 1:00pm on 4/12/08. We will supply the power, tasting spoons, bowls, napkins, etc. necessary to test and later sell to the public for a minimum cost. All proceeds will be donated to PAWS. You must mail in your entry form along with the entry fee of $7.00 by March 15, 2008 to be eligible for our contest to:

Join us for our Annual Event celebrating Poulsbo Norwegian Heritage! A variety of Food Entertainment, and booths will be available each day! The exciting rides of the
Carnival start Friday and ride tickets may be purchased in advance at various
stores in town. The evening will be capped off with a fireworks display over
Liberty Bay. See Viking Village which shows the way of life of the vikings in
1500 A.D.!! Start your day on Saturday or on Sunday with a Pancake breakfast
at the Armory. The Viking Fest Parade will follow on Saturday with
fearless Viking Warriors!

Celebrate the season and watch the water sparkle with the Lighted Christmas
Boat Parade put on by the Poulsbo Yacht Club! As they cruise Liberty Bay one
night, Manzanita, and Port Madison the next, enjoy personalized messages from
Santa to the children (pre-arranged).

On Friday, arrive in Historic Downtown Poulsbo, Waterfront Park to enjoy a Yul Cup (hot cider) and cookies. Join in the Cone Ceremonies by the fire! A time to reflect or make a resolution, a pledge, or a wish. Toss your Cone into the fire and believe!
