Learn, Share and Lead in the Conservation of Kitsap Shorelines
Class: May 1, 8, 15, 22 Field: May 10, 17, 24 and June 7Registration fee: $25Join the Kitsap Beach Naturalist Program’s inaugural class and participate in this fun and important opportunity to learn about and share the Kitsap Peninsula’s 360-plus miles ofdiverse shoreline with residents and visitors alike. Training for theProgram includes:- four evening classes in the biology, oceanography and conservation of Puget Sound shorelines (May 1, 8, 15, 22),- four low-tide field trips that put the classroom into action (May 10,17, 24 and June 7), and- off-season opportunities to participate in exciting enrichmentpresentations byscientists, managers, educators and nature lovers.Following the training, you’ll share your knowledge, enthusiasm andapproximately 20 hours of your time as a beach naturalist at low-tide beach walks andother events.For an application, please visit:http://kitsap.wsu.edu/shore_stewards/pdf/KBN_Application.pdf
