NAME OF EVENT: Tree Grafting For Bumper Crops

TIMES: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

LOCATION: at Stillwaters Environmental Center (26059 Barber Cut Off Road; Kingston)

DESCRIPTION: Get hands-on instruction and learn several techniques for “spring” grafting – whip-and-tongue, cleft, modified T-slit and more. The teacher is Chuck Estin, who will demonstrate these techniques at the Stillwaters campus, so dress for the weather. There will be ample opportunity to practice and learn how to graft onto existing trees that aren’t producing what you’d like. All materials and tools provided. In addition, you may purchase your own baby grafted trees ($5 each), Victorinox grafting knives, grafting tape rolls, and scionwood. Please pre-register at 360-297-2876.

COST: $30 each, $45 for couple*. Includes materials, snacks.
