Free Summer Shuttle starts July 1st in Gig Harbor
The City of Gig Harbor will be providing a free trial shuttle this summer for visitors and residents to get around the harbor. The free service will take place on Saturdays in July and August from 10am -4pm.
“Our hope is to get some feedback from the public on a potential regularly scheduled service” said City of Gig Harbor Marketing Director Laureen Lund. “We’ll be looking at route, time, ridership, frequency, convenience and more.”
The shuttle will make stops along the historic waterfront, at each hotel, at the Gig Harbor Farmers Market, the Gig Harbor Visitor Center on Judson Street and at other locations. More specific information and route map is available by calling (253) 857-4VIC or www.gigharborguide.com.
Originating from two-miles of walk-able harbor front, Gig Harbor is the first destination on the Kitsap Peninsula after crossing the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. This vibrant community is notable for its maritime heritage, marinas, waterfront parks, upscale shops, galleries and restaurants, gardens and garden centers, hilly bicycling routes, and more.
